  I need HELP and ADVICE. PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE READ

  6 months ago i was d'fd and i am right now confused as to what i want to do cuse i can put my letter in for reinstatement now but i just dont know if that would be the best desicion for me.

  one side of me says go back to the jw org and do all that i can in the org so that i can make it to the paradise.

  but then one side says just do what u want to do til u die.

  they don't go by the bible - it's a spiritual book, not literal - they say they do, but they most certainly don't

  by the comments of the scrutinised and the ex-jws it is obvious that a person can see or figure the lies of jwism and then get themselves in very hot water simply by reiterating or repeating the "inconvenient" information that the org itself has provided - without any external input or external information or external scrutiny.. is that a fairly unique condition for such a group these days ?.

  if a jw reads jw pulications, figures out it looks like a sham, and then brings up the inconvenient truths to "the wrong people" - is that all it takes to get silenced - ousted - removed - ceased etc ?

  just my take on wbts what's your's

  until 1879 no one understood the bible properly,until god apponted a fds/ibs.who would feed the domestics the proper food at the proper time.

  (this food got rotten at times)then in 1918 jesus christ came for an inspection and found that the food was rotten and put the leaders in jail for 9 months(somehow this fits in with bible prophecy per fds/gb,i just don't know how)than in 1931 they changed their name to jw and in 1935 they began feeding the jonadab's i guess these jonadab's were getting very hungry.after they fed the jonadab's, they started to feed the worldly's.they said the time remaning for this system was short and would end before the generation that saw the world events of 1914 would be alive to see the new system and god's new kingdom ruling on the earth.that generation passed on,so in the wise wisdom of the gb/fds/wts in 1995 defined the length and meaning of the generation.they may have missed some scriptures where god defines the length of days for man.

  (maybe the light wasn't shining or was blurry).in 2000 the gb/fds/wts said the end was very near,deep.deep,deep into this system.in fact "we,are no longer just around the corner,we are around the corner,in fact we are in the last hour".they mentioned 6 signs why the end was near(see 2000 wt&km).one on those signs were the gb/fds was getting very old and would not be around much longer.so they are training the jonadab's,well only special one to take over the feeding chores once all 144k are sealed in heaven.however,if the end doesn't come they the 144k will materialize and help with the sherphering work.

  just my take on wbts what's your's

  In the late nineteenth century a white western person typically thought himself superior in intellect to others and developed a religion and belief system based on his own and other fundamentalist / millenialist thoughts. In his liberal society there were enough other people around who were prone to be easily taken in and misled, due to both the culture and the ignorance of the times. Again, a certain level of cultural arrogance was required. Lonely, ignorant, uneducated, grieving, scared, haughty, covetous and even envious people are typically open to this type of thing - and so developed a religion based on exclusivism and hatred - not the first of it's kind, but one that has lasted a little while due to the exceptionally deceptive nature of it's leaders and their reasonable ability to cover their ass and their tracks. This group has also utilised gainfully the concepts of print and picture, isolative techniques, lying and sinister levels of concealment, ignorance of it's followers and exclusion of independence in thought or action beit from family members or not. Additionally they have invented the "instant martyrdom" method of blood refusal and gained it's own martyrs for pride and example of what 'heroism' is. Indeed they have invented much language along the way which though they be words that others use, have particular, different and often dual meanings to adherents within the cult.

  The group provides for quite a study in biblical scripture - most warnings and results of wickedness spoken of can be seen and understood in a study of cult members - what they do and then endure - the listening to false prophecy, preference for a lie, praising of salvation and gain by works, the destruction of one's self and soul, etc etc .....

  Nullify Baptism and Dissolve Disfellowshipping

  i was baptized in 1966 - i did not dedicate or associate myself to the wts as that change came in 1985. twenty years after my baptism, the change went pretty well over my head as i was fully immersed in the cult activity and brainwashing of the society.

  has anyone had their baptism nullified and then requested a dissolution of their disfellowshipping and the removal/destruction of all personal files the society has on them?

  has anyone got absolute removal of all of their records and baptismal reversal, complete with an announcement to this effect at the kh?

  we i read about jesus' trail, it appears he had more compassion than the jews.

  jesus practicly told he powerless in the matter, that's when pilate washed his hands and disavowed responabilty for jesus' death.

  a clergyman said he had read that pilate later became a christian.

  I would not be at all suprised at a reluctance to go along with nasty fundamentalist whack jobs, regardless of his other "dispatches" of people.

  Pilate declared "I'm innocent" but still went along with it - kind of like door to door jws who don't even believe it but have their own needs and agenda to satisfy which they deem more important than the innocent who are affected by their complicity.

  When is it ok to give gifts?

  so jw's don't "celebrate" christmas.

  what exactly does it mean to "celebrate christmas"?

  also, what are the dates (let's say between thanksgiving and new years) which jw's are forbidden to give/exchange gifts?

  As far as I can tell, "celebrating christmas" means utilising decorations, a tree, wrapping paper and presents on christmas morning.

  • Having the day off and whooping it up in the pool with friends over, and drinking / eating etc. is not "celebrating christams"
  • Giving presents on the day before or after is not "celebrating christmas"
  • Having a holiday with everyone else is not "celebrating christams"

  It seems to be isolated mainly to decorations.

  "my family is the template for your average european catholic family...we had our problems, and without going into too much detail our history is filled with abhorrent instances of violence...most of my earliest memories are ones that will forever bring tears to my eyes.

  my mother's insistence that god will help us through it, over and over again never panned out...add to this the fact that the nuns in our school would constantly call me stupid and write off anything i would say in a discussion because it was always wrong...what felt like god's presence was just a mind-trick.

  hypocrisy was rampant among the congregation.

  Scout's agenda is to portray other christian groups as just as bad or worse than jws - promoting the concept of "where else would we go" - and that bible god (literal bible god that is) is bad, so other religions are 'wrong' - "beware of christians"

  I don't think that Scout has non-fundamentalist experience or thought.

  I should think that the above example isn't "the template" - but an overlay of culture.

  The question needs qualifying

  1. A belief is true, if inherently believed - as opposed to a false belief being an attempt or struggle to convince oneself of something not inherently believed - ie. to "make believe"
  2. Whether or not the substance of one's belief is true is a subject of much debate - "I am" is considered to be true, as opposed to "the gb are directed by gawd"
